Where we’ve been… Where we’re goin’…

In 2006, with only a few weeks of planning, we were able to bring together 140 people to raise over $500 for Equality Now. It was a story that mirrors Serenity itself in that this wasn’t a big production, we didn’t have a budget for promotion, didn’t have media coverage to get the word out. We just had the Browncoats. And we showed the world that we could do the impossible.

Then came 2007. We at least had a few months to put our shindig together and had been given the challenge that since we had already done the impossible, this year we would beat it. And beat it we did. Madison alone had over 230 people in attendance and raised over $1800! Globally we almost doubled the previous year’s donation to Equality Now.

So far each year we’ve raised:

2006 $65,900.
2007 $106,165.
2008 $107,219.
2009 $137,331.
2010 $141,251.

Which brings the total CSTS has raised for Equality Now to $557,867.
